Gary Cherone, the former lead singer for the rock group Extreme, has joined Van Halen replacing Sammy Hagar (who replaced David Lee Roth) in a controversial situation that has brought all atention to the VH camp. Gary has participated in theater productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar (playing the main role of Jesus) and has 4 records with Extreme.(Extreme, Pornografitti, III Sides to Every Story, and Waiting For the Punchline )
III is now out and it is certainly safe to say Gary fits his new role very well. He lives up to expectations of most fans (I wont say all, because we all know that's a lie) and fits VH like a glove. Hopefully, Gary will be around quite a while.
